"Intern" counterattacked to win the championship, "Mourning" retired to the runner-up

"Intern" was shown on 659 screens for 7,464 times last weekend, with a total audience of 532,780, with a cumulative audience of 1,463,577. The box office share was 26.7%, and the number of people watching movies increased by 195,384 over the previous week, about 57.9%. Such a turnaround was unexpected, especially when it ranked fourth in the first week and rose to the first place in the second week. This is very similar to the situation of Begin Again, which was released last summer. At present, the film is marching towards 2 million people. In particular, the film beat the most anticipated films in South Korea’s Mid-Autumn Festival, such as Mourning, Detective and Western Front, which will surely attract the attention of the audience and push the box office of the film further.

The costume blockbuster "Mourning for the Past" directed by Li Junyi was released on September 16th, ranking first in the first two weekends. Originally, I thought I would continue to maintain the box office advantage, but I didn’t expect it to be defeated by "Intern", dropping one runner-up. Last weekend, there were 11,217 screenings on 767 screens, with a total audience of 492,525 and a cumulative audience of 5,571,322. The box office share is 23.7%. Although the release scale is much higher than that of Intern, the number of people watching movies is not as good as expected. The film’s profit and loss point is about 6-6.5 million people, and the final box office results are expected to be at this level.

"Detective" and "Moving Maze 2" dropped by one place.

Detective, starring Kwone Sang Woo and Dong-ill Sung, was shown on 666 screens for 8,836 times last weekend, with a total audience of 472,536, with a cumulative audience of 2 million 4,883. The box office share was 23.1%, and the number of people watching movies decreased by 80,000 compared with the previous week, and the ranking dropped by one place. However, this performance is still stable. Especially for Kwone Sang Woo, "Detective" is also his best performance at the box office.

Mobile Maze 2, also known as Mobile Maze: The Trial of Burn Marks, was shown on 414 screens for 4,753 times last weekend, with 191,521 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 2,608,170. Compared with the previous week, it decreased by 320,000 people, about 62.9%. This film is the second part of the "Movies of Moving Labyrinth". After Thomas leads everyone to find the exit of the maze in the first part, he and his friends will cross the hottest scorched earth on the earth and reach the shelter in the north within two weeks.

"Veteran" and "Guardian of the Moon" rose instead of falling.

Compared with the previous week, "Veteran" rose by one place. Last weekend, there were 1927 screenings on 294 screens, with 82,578 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 13.341 million. At present, "Veteran" continues to refresh the highest box office results in the films released in 2015. Although the number of people watching movies decreased by 65,000, or about 44.2%, compared with the previous weekend, the ranking rose by one place, with full stamina.

The French cartoon "The Guardian of the Moon" rose by two places over the previous week. Last weekend, it was shown on 283 screens for 1,150 times, with 57,877 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 241,824. An increase of 2826 people over the previous week.

On the other hand, "The Western Front" continued to decline, falling two places to rank seventh. Last weekend, it was shown on 344 screens for 2,376 times, with 42,077 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 578,912. "Breaking Altitude" also dropped by two places, showing 1024 shows on 171 screens, with 31,387 people watching movies over the weekend and a total of 315,841 people watching movies.

The Curse: The Final Chapter ranked eighth in the first week, and danny collins ranked tenth.

The Japanese horror film "Curse: The End" was shown on 317 screens for 2,206 times last weekend, with 35,913 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 46,535, ranking eighth in the first week. This film is also the best result of the new film released last week, but it is not so good in terms of numbers.

Danny collins took the last bus on the list in the first week, ranking tenth. Last weekend, there were 1,955 screenings on 309 screens, with 22,714 people watching movies over the weekend, and the cumulative number of people watching movies was 42,900.

This week’s new film: VS

Among the new films released this week, the most attractive Korean film is Angry Lawyers starring Li Shanjun, Ko Eun Kim and Won-hie Lim, which will be released on October 8th. The film tells the story of a gold medal lawyer who won 100% of the case and tried to find out the truth after encountering setbacks. It was released by CJ Entertainment and can be watched at the age of 15. Li Shanjun’s box office appeal has always been good, especially this film is his next big-screen comeback, which is highly anticipated by fans.

However, the pre-sale rate of this film is far less than that of Matt Damon’s new film "Mars Rescue", which is an American sci-fi action adventure blockbuster. Besides Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara and kristen wiig joined in. The film was released in the United States on October 2 and will land on the Korean big screen on October 8. Produced by 20th Century Fox Film Company, directed by ridley scott, and adapted from Andy Weir’s novel of the same name, it tells the story that Mark lost contact with his team due to a sandstorm, was alone on Mars, faced with the damage of his spaceship, and tried his best to return to Earth.

At present, from the pre-sale rate list, Mars Rescue is far ahead with a pre-sale rate of 42.6%, Intern ranks second with a pre-sale rate of 14.2%, and Angry Lawyer ranks third with a pre-sale rate of 8.0%. Memorial and Detective ranked fourth and fifth with the pre-sale rates of 7.8% and 5.4% respectively.
