  The "Internet+Government Services" platform of the Ministry of Public Security was officially launched today. What convenience can Hong Kong and Macao residents enjoy? Sun Taiping, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, responded on August 1 that the platform has launched two businesses, namely, the through train of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and the online payment of police non-tax income.

  Sun Taiping further introduced at the press conference of the Ministry of Public Security that the through train service of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao mainly includes the extension of approval, the change of driver registration and other services. Hong Kong and Macao residents can log on to the "Internet+government service" platform of the Ministry of Public Security, simply fill in the relevant information, and then they can apply for the extension of approval or the change of driver registration business, and they can choose the two-way postal express delivery to obtain documents, which is convenient and fast.

  Regarding the payment of police non-tax revenue, Sun Taiping said that Hong Kong and Macao residents can fill in the number of the Notice of Payment or the Decision of Punishment through this platform, and then they can pay the financial non-tax revenue of Guangdong Province online after scanning the code on their mobile phones. At present, it mainly covers seven categories of public security services, including temporary entry motor vehicle license and driving license fee, driving license examination fee and traffic violation fine.

  In the next step, Guangdong public security organs will launch more than 10 online platforms for public security and people’s livelihood services for Hong Kong and Macao residents in the areas of Guangdong 110 online alarm, traffic control business, and convenient application of entry and exit documents for Hong Kong and Macao residents, and launch measures to facilitate Hong Kong and Macao residents in accommodation registration, real-name delivery, Internet access in Internet cafes, purchase of air tickets, high-speed rail tickets, and banking business as soon as possible.
