Long face, Wuling Air ev has sold 110,000 overseas, an exquisite version of Hongguang MINIEV.
Not long ago, China Wuling’s first new energy global car, the Air ev, was unveiled at the Indonesian International Auto Show. The price of the new car is equivalent to about RMB 110,000-135,000, offering a 200km standard version and a 300km long battery life version. It is reported that this car will enter more countries and regions such as India and Egypt in the future.
From the appearance, this car is very different from the models under the current Wuling brand. However, the size of the model is actually different from that of Wuling Hongguang MINIEV. It must be said that the Air ev looks more refined and has the style of Japanese K-CAR. The new car adopts the split headlight group and the penetrating LED daytime running lights which are rarely used in this kind of mini-car, and the decorative strips of the penetrating design extend all the way to the exterior rearview mirrors on both sides. It can be said that the design of the front face is very bold and unconventional.
Like Hongguang MINIEV, Air ev is designed with three doors and four seats, and the size of the independent window behind B-pillar is very large. From the design point of view, it is estimated that the depression of the rear passengers is also taken into account, thus increasing the size and area of the window. It is worth mentioning that the Air ev adopts a design similar to that of the Nissan sports car Z350, and it is integrated with the B-pillar of the window. I have to say that it is really innovative to look at the Air ev after I am tired of the traditional door handle design.
In addition, the tail design of the Air ev also echoes the front face, with a penetrating taillight strip and an extremely rare split taillight design. The "WULING" logo will be integrated under the penetrating taillight strip, which is very delicate. At the same time, the high-position brake light, the small tail wing and the rear window glass with a large curved surface really highlight the personality of this car in visual effect, and it can also be seen that the cost of Air ev is higher than that of Hongguang MINIEV.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the Air ev are 2974mm/1505mm/1631mm and the wheelbase is 2010mm, while the dimensions of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV are 3061mm/1520mm/1665mm and the wheelbase is 2010 mm.. In addition to the wheelbase, Air ev is even smaller than Wuling Hongguang MINIEV. However, the gap is negligible.
In terms of power, it is understood that this car adopts a single motor layout and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a maximum power of 30kW and a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The power system comes down in one continuous line with the high-equipped Hongguang MINIEV, and the size difference between the two cars is not big, so it is reasonable to use the power system of Hongguang MINIEV.
It can be seen that in fact, apart from the design, Air ev is very similar to Wuling Hongguang MINIEV in many things, with the same power system, small body size and the same wheelbase, but from the design point of view, Air ev seems to be more refined. Of course, no matter how much money is spent, the price of Air ev overseas is really not low. Compared with the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV with a battery life of 200 kilometers and a 300-kilometer version, the domestic price is 558-69,800 yuan, and the price of Air ev is almost twice that of Wuling Hongguang MINIEV.
Of course, overseas market size, taxes and policies directly affect the selling price. The huge sales of Wuling Hongguang MINIEV in China have lowered the cost of bicycles, and China’s perfect industrial layout has made the cost have a natural advantage, which is unmatched by overseas emerging markets. In any case, China Wuling’s first new energy global car, the Air ev, sold 135,000 yuan overseas, which is also a face for China people! I don’t know how much this car will sell after it is listed in China. Bing Ge predicts that it will be much higher than Wuling Hongguang MINIEV!
